1. Airline Tycoon

1.1 A new job

goal: is to serve 5 different routes between the domestic airport and other cities — direct lines

You have to utilize the route above 10 % (each one) to keep the licence for such route! Also, utilizing above 20 % allows one to rent other lines from such city.

1.5 The first tycoon

goal: earn the very high company image value — above 75 %

Use marketing agency (I), and go for higher campaigns. Utilize your planes, equip them up, lower the route flight prices, fetch more branches (U). This mission takes a long time to finish.

1.6 The last frontier/border

goal: build a spaceship as the first one

The overall price is over $200 mil, therefore it is needed to earn the money. Save as much money as possible and then take a loan (around a half of the account checking).

Buy new planes quickly, to operate own routes (fly far). Take routes (from LHR) to NYC, Delhi, and Beijing — it is feasible to earn around 8–10 mils a day.

This mission takes circa 70–80 game days to finish.

The very last parts cost 50 and 85 mil, save up for the very last one. Let’s say you save up to 100 mil, then go to tha bank (B), take a loan (circa 50 mil), buy remaining parts, go.

I wasn’t able to buy off any company, each one tends to be very careful in this mission.


2. First Class

2.1 Almost bankrupt

goal: to pay off the 10-mil loan as fast as possible; it is meant to earn those money very quickly and equalize the bank accounts

Mission takes like 10–12 game days, company image can really drop to 0 % due to the questionable state of planes (no time to spend money on the maintenance), drop every expense, lower the salaries, take the LHR–JFK route for the passive income and take profitable charters.

2.2 Flying crates

goal: cargo transporting, to transport 1000 tons as the first one

Take a loan at start (as much as possible), incomes are going to be kinda low. Use both planes for the cargo transportation, omit routes completely, fly near the domestic airport to save expanses for the empty return flights.

A quite quick mission (~10 game days), fetch the flights in the very morning, ensure the flight plan utilized well, then go home (after like 10 AM, no problems, it is just a cargo).

The cargo hangar (harbour, H) shows at the airport for the first time.

2.3 Earthquake

goal: there was an earthquake in Daker, the free cargo help is to be transported there, in three weeks be the best one

Take the LHR–REK route.

To Dakar exclusively, only one plane is probably going to be able to fly. Therefore utilize the other plane for charters, or sell it completely.

Around the day 13 it is possible to take over HA company. Go to the bank (B), look at the stock tables, and when you see the HA company emission, that guy probably forgets to rebuy his share back, so one can buy the volatile 51 % of shares and can tell the bank guy to take over/liquidize the company entirely. After that, it is fairly easy to be the first one in terms of free cargo help transported to Dakar.

Utilize the other smaller planes for some short flights. This mission can be done in reasonably short time, when going home very soon each day.

2.4 Miles or more

goal: fly as many miles as reasonably possible in 30 days

Even when LHR–REK and LHR–JFK routes are utilized, it is hard to lead the score table. Others are aiming very high effectively. So, as fast as possible, buy another plane for the LHR–JFK route.

It is possible to take over HA company again (~14th day) — after that the mission is fairly easy to finish successfully.

2.5 The luxury principle

goal: earn 120 points of the service quality — via personnel and plane equipment

At first, go to the personalit’s (P) and employ people of higher quality (experiences, capability etc). Fire those with lower overall score. Also, add more stewards per each plane.

Each new improvement gives you plus one point. Therefore wait, check bank periodically, and take over HA again. Their score is transferred too.

You can buy small planes, which are pretty cheap even to equip, but do not forget to have competent personnel!

Later, the goal was set to 150 points (check at the manager’s office. U). Also, maximaze the maintenance quality at the warehouse (W), hire new pilots and stewards, buy new planes, add up seats for the first class — extra points.

2.6 Bankrupt

goal: the company owning both travel agencies at the domestic airport went bankrupt; you have three weeks to show you are competent in the terms of goodwill overall value of your airlines (overall property value — planes, bank account etc)

No travel agency at the airport is operational. The remaining flights are cargos (H) and routes (R). Others start to utilize various routes quickly. It is better to play this mission as SA, she has got better planes, can fly to Tokyo from London. So go fetch new routes quickly, add up some yummy cargos, and buy new planes.

2.7 Cathing up

goal: fix the planes’ condition, from around 35 % to at least 90 % (at least two planes above 90 %)

Be aware, it is very easy to go bankrupt in this mission (and other players go bankrupt randomly too). The mission is more calm when no competitiors left. There is a problem with saved games, as those with bankrupted companies are unable to be loaded in.

The mission takes long to finish — it is needed to utilize charters, cargo flights with higher profits, for the company to be able to pay for the maintenance.

2.8 Change of route

goal: drive the stock price up to $220 per one share

At first, go to the bank (B) and set the dividends as high as possible. Periodically emit new stocks (do not forget to buy back your share — at least 51 %). And yep, sabotages — they really do lower the stock price when some affair is to be on the front pages).

First of all, you have to increase the image of your company.

Next, you should use more aircrafts flying on routes. At least 10 aircraft.

Tip: Fly on routes where you can earn a lot of money, 
such as Tokyo - London or New York - London

Mach advertise these routes and equip your aircraft to luxury. 
In addition, you can also increase on luxury route prices.

Your shares should now rise every week .

On the day 18, one can buy off HA company. Do not forget to buy back the 51-% share the very next day and try to emit new stocks. Also, try to be improving your company image. Kindly sell the shitty planes of HA’s.

After the take over, the mission is very quick — save up to 6 or 7 mils, buy all remaining stocks available (your company’s); the price should rock the $250 value. Profit.

2.9 No buts!

goal: fly 200 flights as soon as possible, those flights are fetched from the manager every morning (are added to the flight list already, so ready to add to the flight plan).

Manager yeets 5 new random flights every morning, therefore the game takes 40 days to finish at minimum. It is kinda pesky mission, the majority of given flights can be operated by the bigger plane (Postdam), other, shorter flights drop to the other plane.

Be aware of the contracted penalty for ignored flights! Better fly those with higher penalties, rather than those fitting the timeplan nicely. (Other players do not receive penalties…)

Other tend to buy new planes quickly, but it is possible to finish first with only two (2) original planes.

2.10 Behind the last frontier

goal: build a space station using part bought at the NASA shop (above the museum)

It is not needed to buy new parts as soon as possible. The parts themselves are pretty cheaper than those in The slast frontier (1.6) misson.

Go buy new planes, and start flying routes to earn the big money!


3. The Evolution

3.1 Back again

goal: to have 15 million dolars in bank account

A relatively quick mission, takes like 10 days to finish. It is enough to rent the LHR–JFK route, and to balance cargo flights with the other plane + very exclusive charters (2 passangers for a half a mil). While having 10 mil in the back account, take a loan of 5 mils, done.
